“We've worked with Ben Thomas on many of our house renovations over the years as well as a recent studio addition. Ben is a wonderful craftsman/builder who is as adept at framing as he is with detail work. He's helped convert our 1866 house attic to a studio for my wife with built in cupboards and tables as well as adding a whole new addition to the living room. Renovating our master bedroom/bathroom suite entailed structural enhancement that were uncovered during the demolition of the older space. With the recent studio addition, Ben worked closely with the subcontractors, like the excavation and foundation people. He also was able to save us some money too by saving material that was still usable after the demolition. The architect left some of the detail unresolved with the studio addition. Ben elegantly figured out a solution that was both visually and functionally beautiful. Ben is also very easy to work with - he's a good listener and comes up with good suggestions. I highly recommend him for any project big and small! “

"We own a historic 1790 home that needed some interior and exterior improving, including finish carpentry and cabinet making. Ben did a wonderful job for us, his work product and craftsmanship is excellent and he is thoughtful, reliable, and courteous. We recommend him highly and look forward to working with him again in the future."

“Unlike new construction, doing a renovation or extension on an existing building involves many unexpected complications. Ben corrected structural deficiencies and damage caused by water and insects, things we would never have known about. He is scrupulous about building things correctly and protecting the homeowner. For all this quality, his prices are very competitive. And, if you pay attention, you will discover that Ben is actually very funny.”
